Before backend, I spent years on embedded systems and firmware: hardware/software integration, intelligent control systems, performance under real constraints. That background is still the lens I bring to distributed systems and cloud architecture — reliability and end-to-end thinking over quick fixes.
One highlight: an offline voice-control system for a solar-powered boat — wake-word detection, speech recognition, and CAN bus communication running on a Raspberry Pi with zero internet connectivity. These days I'm chasing the same kind of problem-solving in distributed systems, automation, and AI.
